2012 - Reliability Improvements

In 2012 34 protection devices were installed and commissioned on the network. Following the previous upgrade of the communication infrastructure, these devices are linked to the control room so that they can be remotely operated during a fault. The GIS allows the control room operators to view the location of the asset in the field and all customers that may be affected. This was a significant step forward in the company’s ability to manage its network.
